Kalee & Sylvia’s 21st B’day
On the Friday of the 4th of September, we celebrated Kalee Choi and Sylvia Wong's 21st B'day at a French restaurant called Baia set with nice views of Darling Harbour. Dinner was a combination of a Garlic and Bruschetta bread (which I missed out on) and then a two course main of various pastas, risotto and so. This was followed by another serving of woodfired Pizzas and lastly a desert of choice. I grabbed the Homemade Tiramisu accompanied with a hot chocolate although a coffee would have been a wiser choice. All in all, dinner was quite nice and was followed by a mashing of Karaoke at Greenbox Plus in a room too small for the group. But photos from this lovely night are below:
Three long months without a post…
It's been a massively long time since I've added anything to my blog despite being out and about a fair bit, nothing spectacular like New Zealand but hanging out with friends and whatnot. More recently though, I've been rather sick and that's made my Uni break fairly unenjoyable, being sick on a trip to Nelson Bay (well Anna bay) is not a good feeling and apologies to the people I spread my sickness too =D. This post will cover stuff I've done from the past three months including plenty of piccies.
I'll try to update this thing more often...
Nelson Bay
From the last thing I did, the Nelson Bay trip, which wasn't so great seeing as I started to get sick the day before we all left meant the bed was my best friend for a couple of days. Staying home while everyone else went fishing didn't make such a great trip and by the time I had recovered, I had already infected others leaving only a few of us to have a few drinks on the last night. Other than my sickness, it was a nice 4 days despite a lotta trouble organising the trip with transport and all that.
Sexy Six B'day BBQ
We celebrated Bettina, Chris, David, Lily, Kathy and Sylvia L.'s b'days all together at Bicentennial Park in Homebush Bay. It was a great day despite being in the middle of Winter, the sun was out and it was lovely.
Awesome Foursome B'day Dinner
I managed to catch a bit of Bob, Gavin, MP and Tina's B'day, unfortunately it was also my dad's b'day that night and I had arrived late and caught up with a bit of Karaoke as well.
VSA Soccer Day 2009
Stephen Du’s 20th B’day
On the 21st of March we celebrate Stephen Du's, known as Duman, birthday, for this occassion the prick made us travel all the way down to Jervis Bay for a day for some fun. The day started with a 6.30am meetup at his house to aim for a 7am departure, this became closer to 7.30am leaving us with only two hours to complete a two and a half hour trip. The solution? Gun it down the highway, the drive down was awesome once you got past the Hume Highway and the small towns along the way, the hills in Kangaroo Valley were nice and windy with smooth surfaced roads making for a fun drive, the view on the way down the mountains was quite spectacular as it was quiet a foggy morning and it seemed like we were driving above the clouds.
The schedule for the day was a dolphin watching cruise followed by lunch and the spending time at the beach where we could fish, snorkel and just enjoy the beautiful white sand. The dolphin cruise was quite sucessful with us sighting quite a few dolphins closer to end however they seemed to be attracted to another dolphin cruise boat, giving them quite an impressive show. Snorkelling around the area was quite nice once I got the hang of it and the view under water was quite nice once I brought a piece of meat to bait out the fish. While swimming back to shore I was luckily enough to witness a school of hundreds of fish swimming around me and the view was simply epic. As the day went closer to the end we set up the barbeque and cooked what seemed to be the best tasting sausages ever as we were all so hungry.
Photos from the day trip are below:
Driving back was another rushed drive as we were late for dinner scheduled at 8pm. Dinner was a Thai buffet at the restaurant Duman previously worked at, despite being 40 minutes late there was still plenty of food left for us to eat. Not much to write about the dinner but the photos are below:
Coldplay & Kim Le’s B’day
Feels good to finally have my site back up after my host decided to go bankrupt
not to fear as it's back now and unlikely to go down again. I'm still in the process of redesigning my site and splitting it up to three sections, you'll see when i'm done
.
Anyways, March was quite a busy month with Uni starting up again and getting busy already despite only have 3 days of uni. So far in March though I've been to Coldplay's concert which I found to be quite good, our seats were quite far back as we only managed bronze reserved. They put on a good show with pretty nice visuals, the lasers were wicked, really bright and vivid colours. Highlights would have been Yellow and Viva La Vida for me, moreso Yellow due to the dropping of the Yellow balloons/balls, sucks that we weren't on the floor so we could grab some of the butterflies. Although it was a great show, I felt like there should have been more and being my first "real" concert, it was damn short but I guess that's the norm.
Pics are below, they're the best I could do.
Also in March was Kim Le's 20th b'day, we celebrated with dinner at Positano at Parramatta, we all had different meals which were quite nice. Headed out to Bamboo in the City afterwards for a bit but ended up being a waste of time, that place is shit, horrible atmosphere and people moving all over the place as they get to and from the bar. Not going there again, lucky I didn't have to pay to get in though.
Pics from Kim's b'day are below:
Tang’s 20th B’day
I've actually got a few things to catch up on with posting, but since Michael Tang thinks he's so awesome, I decided to post about his birthday outing first. Very simple night consisting of dinner, karaoke and clubbing for a few of us, awesome night out and felt good to go clubbing after a while (even though it was RnB). Dinner at Oscars Bar or Restaurant, just across Pyrmont Bridge and then Karaoke at CEO and clubbing at Havana.
Photos are below
Short post, because I really can't be bothered XD.
Eric’s 20th B’day
Photos from Eric's 20th B'day, just a few snaps from dinner at Ajisen Ramen and then the rest of the pics were from karaoke at K Square. Happy b'day, hope you had a good one

Dinner ānā Karaoke
Hahaha had an awesome time at Karaoke on the 28th of June 2008. After struggling to find a place to eat, we ended up at the Star Bar to funnily enough find Lily Tran (who had her birthday) there as well with her bunch of friends. (sorry to crash btw XD). Most of us had steaks and it was a decent meal, enough to fill me up for drinking later at K.
We then headed to K-Mix at 8pm with a booking for 2 hours (which ended up being way short) til 10. Had an awesome time in there, hahah I probably had a bit too much to drink but it was all in good fun. Took heaps of pics and turned it into a stop motion, which wasn't something I planned, but after checking out the photos the day after there were HEAPS.
The video is below:
I'll add the normal photos later on.
